Unique Automated Beam Manufacturing machine
This machine can produce straight, curved or tapered "I" beams to customer specifications
The machine offers web depths from 100mm right through to 1,200mm within a single beam
Variable flange thickness, offset and shape are also accommodated within this process
The machine utilises a deep penetration weld to Australian Standard as 1554.1.2004 enabling a 4 to 6 mm weld fillet, instead of the usual 8 to 10mm
This allows for a cleaner line without sacrificing weld integrity
A two pass automate welding technique ensures heat distribution with consistent weld penetration and fillet sizes to suit customer specifications
Beams of any length are achievable to suit individual project requirements
The process uses the highest quality wire and industrial gases to produce a weld qualify and penetration of some 98% regardless of web or flange thickness.
This unique system also minimises any distortion of the beam during the welding process
Powerful hydraulic rams follow the contour of the pre-cut web and the flanges are pressed against the web with some sixty tonne pressure resulting in a very tight alignment of web flange
